Clonk Clonk Rattle Rattle etc etc.
So there one is laying in bed with windows wide open as it is a little warm and all one can hear every time a car goes by is a very loud CLONK CLONK. It comes from a man hole cover that has been lifted by one of the Utility Companies and not replaced properly. There seems to be quite a few of these around the Urb. So if our newly elected councellor could find a way of getting this problem sorted for the many people who suffer that would be just GREAT. If you do not think this is justified maybe the new Mayor might come all the way down from Alicante to have a listen. Are you still away Jeff, or have you given up trying to answer the people's questions up here?
Have you any idea how heavy some of them covers are. I noticed them the other day 2 men using a magnet type gadget to lift the cover,

it seems to me that the council have a repair team which re-cements the man hole covers. I think you will have noticed these being repaired and the little fences that they temporarily erect around the repaired man hole covers. I suggest you tell the people in the mini town hall and I think they would appreciate knowing where the offending man hole covers are and get them repaired for you.
If the council wont deal with it the answer I have seen others on the Urbanisation do is to lift manhole cover and put a rubber inertube around it and replace cover. That stops it.
However I am told that to do so is illegal and that for doing it you can be fined by the police.
But what price a peaceful nights sleep.
Must admit have when driving around on the estate often heard them clang as you drive over them.
