My personal opinion,is,yes it would be great for parking,but a norm of craft markets is that it is a gentle walk along and looking for something different,but in the position you mention,you would have nothing around you to keep you in that area,so would people drive there (it would be too long a walk for most people)for a 15minute look at the crafts on offer,and then what do they do.
But at this moment in time it is all pie in the sky,
Nothing has been mentioned about it on the famous Jeff Blog,until the council say either pro or con,nothing can or will happen.
Then of course the getting stalls there and most of all what rules and regs.would the council require

I think a night market would be a great idea. Loads of people use the one at Guardamar so I think it could be a success here as well. As you say though Alan it is just the rules that could put a possible dampner on things. If the stall holders have to be fully legal, unless they do it as a full time business I wouldnt think they would be making enough money to be legal. It would be nice if the many people who live in La Marina and make things were able to have a stall, I know quite a few people who make cards, jewellery, cakes, pottery etc.
Oh well lets hope the council can arrange something and hopefully in time for the arrival of holiday makers, who would love this kind of thing. ( am I being optimistic here!)

This was an idea i had after visiting Guardamar after we bought last year.

I also had the idea of lantern lights crisscrossing the road and hoping to include street performers too and for the other communities to be included. Simply a market for everyone to enjoy and socialise.

I also had the idea to have a Summer Carnival too.

But the only problem for me is I don't live there has i am still in London but may be
Alan could be my in-between here.
